women & pornography;
A few weeks ago I was chatting with some friends. There were five of us. Of the five, three were divorced. Not only that, their stories were similar; the downfall of each had started with a pornography addiction. Because of this addiction other problems arose in each marriage most common being lying but verbal abuse was also very present in each situation.
Two years ago I didn't know how close to home pornography addictions were. I didn't think I knew anyone with problems. Since then, friends have opened up and shared their stories with me. Their stories are often similar in that the pornography addiction was there prior to them becoming a couple yet it was never disclosed. Over the years, the addiction became greater and would affect everyone in the home including children, even though the children might not know why their parents were having difficulties.
This may sound like a couple you might know, where the husband is addicted to pornography; however, in this case it was not just husbands. It was a wife too. The story of the friend whose wife was addicted to pornography was the same story as the two other friends who are female. All three spouses acted in a similar fashion. It just goes to show that you never know what is going on behind closed doors and it could be the complete opposite of the norm.
