Net Nanny isn't loading up on limited user accounts

Net Nanny 5.1.x • 8 February 2011

This article refers to an older version of this product.

This is usually an installation problem. You will need to uninstall and reinstall Net Nanny. When you reinstall and configure Net Nanny, please make sure you are logged on to the administrator account on your computer. Also, please make sure you have turned off all other programs, especially anti-virus software. Reboot your computer after you have configured Net Nanny and try to log on to a different account on your computer. Net Nanny should now automatically load.

Net Nanny 5 will automatically disable Fast User Switching in XP during installation. Fast User Switching must be disabled for Net Nanny to function properly and to load up on each account. You may still set up a separate user name for each family member. However, each user must log out of their account before the next user starts for Net Nanny to function properly. You do not need to shut down the computer, however, to log out of the computer. For more information, please see
