Microsoft's new Windows 8 software has tools to help parents monitor their children's use of the computer. Through a Windows Live account these tools will make monitoring computer use easier, without requiring parents to sit at the computer or look over their child's shoulder.

Wahoowa! Lady Gaga recruits UVA Professor for her foundation.
My younger colleagues have teased me for my lack of knowledge about and appreciation of the talent of Lady Gaga, but I can now say unequivocally that I think she's on to something great. Her new Born This Way Foundation launched this year with an important goal of empowering youth and stopping bullying. Her Foundation has enlisted the help of a renowned professor on the subject of bullying from my alma mater, the University of Virginia. It makes me proud to be a Wahoo.
