    CyberBully Hotline Grant Program for Schools

    The CyberBully Hotline from SchoolReach is a communication tool that allows students to send anonymous voice or text messages to school officials to report bullying acts. These reports can be immediately responded to anonymously by school officials who provide support to help students effectively address each situation. It's a great program aimed at helping each child feel safe at school by doing something about bullying and online harassment of students.

    Some Parents Indirectly Promote Cyberbullying

    A recent worldwide survey conducted by Microsoft revealed that only 50% of kids say parents talk with them about online risks. Also, the children reported that only 44% say parents monitor their time spent on the computer. Where are the other half of the parents?

    Wahoowa! Lady Gaga recruits UVA Professor for her foundation.

    My younger colleagues have teased me for my lack of knowledge about and appreciation of the talent of Lady Gaga, but I can now say unequivocally that I think she's on to something great. Her new Born This Way Foundation launched this year with an important goal of empowering youth and stopping bullying. Her Foundation has enlisted the help of a renowned professor on the subject of bullying from my alma mater, the University of Virginia. It makes me proud to be a Wahoo.
