Net Nanny has been tested to work with the following Instant Messager applications. Users can be blocked from accessing these applications on a per-user basis or by using the time limit feature.

Note:

Net Nanny optionally blocks the applications from communicating across the internet. User access attempts are not logged and message contents are not recorded.

These applications may be updated frequently, in most cases Net Nanny will continue to work with later versions than those listed here.

Due to the way Net Nanny blocking works, some other yet-untested Instant Messager applications will also be blocked.
