Net Nanny will not auto-start!

Category: Net Nanny 5.1.x

Print this record

Another program may be interacting with Net Nanny during startup.

You need to go through the list of other auto-starting programs and stop them from running until after Net Nanny is loaded and running.

Programs like this include instant messengers, file trading applications, and anti-virus live update processes. Most of these programs can be accessed from their task bar icons.

Look for anything under Preferences or Options related to something like starting "when Windows starts" or "when I startup my computer". Uncheck these options to allow Net Nanny to start up first.

The interfering program can then normally be started from the Start Menu at the left end of the task bar and will run fine along with Net Nanny.

If Net Nanny still will not start by default, please find & run this program:

Program FilesNet NannyNNSTART.EXE

Just double-click it. It will begin the Net Nanny initialization process, and will make Net Nanny auto-start on bootup.

If errors occur, please e-mail us along with a brief description of what's happening, your version of Windows and any relevant 3rd party programs that may be interfering.
