Please remember where you saved the application. Then push the application to the phone with the mobile device cable provided when you purchased the device via the appropriate desktop manager software.

Download & Install Instructions for BlackBerry Mobile Phones

Open your browser application. Enter the following URL and go to: http://www.netnanny.com/downloads/mobile

Click on "Download" in the BlackBerry row. After download, click on the downloaded file to install it.

You will be prompted to accept a user agreement, in order for installation to proceed. The registration screen will automatically be displayed; if not, select “settings” from the menu button.

Ensure MDS is set to “MDS Off”. (The “On” setting is only for users who connect to a BES server.)

Next, enter your License Key, provided when you purchased the product. Simply leave ‘hosted.smobilesystems.com’ in the server field. Enter the handset phone number including the country code. (Example: 16145555555)

The username must be a valid email address and the password must be at least five characters in length. These fields will be used to set up your account with Net Nanny Mobile.

Once you have entered your registration information select the menu icon and select Close. This will start the registration process. You will see several messages displayed, the last of which will confirm that the registration was successful: “Update Completed Successfully”.

Download & Install Instructions for Windows Mobile Phones

Open your browser application. Enter the following URL and go to: http://www.netnanny.com/downloads/mobile

Click on "Download" in the Windows Mobile row.

Upon download of the application to the device, the .CAB file will appear in the device’s Program Files folder. Locate the installation file via the File Explorer, accessible from the Start Menu. To begin the installation process, the user taps/selects the .CAB file, then responds to the prompt to specify the desired location for the application, "Store to Device" OR "Store to Memory Card".

This display shows the registration fields required to set up your account with Net Nanny Mobile. First, enter your license key, provided when you purchased the application. The username must be a valid email address. Next, choose a password. It must be at least five characters in length. When the fields’ entries are completed, select “Register”.

Using your device’s internet connection, the application will contact the Net Nanny Mobile server and establish your user account.

Click on "Download" in the Symbian row. After download, click on the downloaded file to install it.

After installation, access the file from the "Applications" folder. To begin the registration process, select the Net Nanny Security Shield application icon.

To register, first enter your License Key, received following your purchase. The username must be a valid email address. Next, choose a password. It must be at least five characters in length. Then, enter the full phone number of the device, including ‘1’ and area code, or ‘+’ and country code, followed by the number.

Select ‘’Options’, then ‘Register’. Registration may take a few minutes as the software will retrieve any updates from the server. Registration is complete.

Download & Install Instructions for Android Mobile Phones

Open your browser application. Enter the following URL and select the "Go" button: http://www.netnanny.com/downloads/mobile

Click on "Download" in the Android row. After download, click on the downloaded file to install it.

After selecting the application to install you will be prompted to allow this application to use network communication and phone call components.

Select the “Install” button to continue. The installation process may take a couple of minutes to finish. Once installation has completed, choose the “Launch” button to open the application (or the “Done” button to return to your browser).

To open the Security Shield application, select the icon from Application menu. The End User License Agreement will appear, with a prompt for your acceptance. Fill in the registration information.

The registration uses your device’s data connection in order to establish communication with our server, so that your account may be registered. The process may require a moment or two to complete. Once completed, the application’s main screen is displayed. In some instances you may be asked to enter your mobile phone number, if so, please include the 1 in front of the area code and number. For example, 16145551212 (no spaces or dashes).
