Penn State: A Failed Institution
Tuesday, July 24, 2012, 4:33 PM
Penn State failed. It failed as an educational institution. It failed its teachers, students, players, alumni, fans, local community and the nation.
More importantly, it failed to monitor the behavior of trusted employees who enabled a child rapist with access and means. Those involved failed to preserve and protect the basic rights and decency of innocent children and students. Those abused now live with that legacy.
The games, reputations, and money don't matter in the grand scheme of things. People matter.
