Nanny 6.5 is now available preinstalled on Toshiba’s
“Kids’ PC Satellite L635 laptop sold exclusively at Best Buy. Based on customer feedback, the laptop includes
a wide array of safety features in design and functionality, specifically for
children aged five-10 years old. Net Nanny 6.5 was selected as the internet
filter based on rankings and recognition in the industry.
Net Nanny 6.5 comes preinstalled in the laptop and immediately begins filtering with default settings as the device powers on for the first time. The settings can be customized or modified based on parents’ own specifications, and the software offers the same level of parental controls as the consumer-based product sold worldwide. The software license is good for one year and is available for annual renewal.
“We are committed to providing front line protection for children as they learn to navigate the Internet, said Russ Warner, ContentWatch CEO and president. “This provides parents with peace of mind from the moment the computer is turned on and the ability to determine what their children view.
Toshiba’s Satellite L635 can be purchased online or from retail locations across the United States.
