Wahoowa! Lady Gaga recruits UVA Professor for her foundation.
My younger colleagues have teased me for my lack of knowledge about and appreciation of the talent of Lady Gaga, but I can now say unequivocally that I think she's on to something great. Her new Born This Way Foundation launched this year with an important goal of empowering youth and stopping bullying. Her Foundation has enlisted the help of a renowned professor on the subject of bullying from my alma mater, the University of Virginia. It makes me proud to be a Wahoo.

Is It Unconstitutional to Filter the Web?
Let me start by saying that Web-filtering software is critical for our public schools. It allows schools to block students' access to pornographic and suggestive websites, which is in accordance with federal law. I can't think of a single parent or rational adult that would suggest that our children being exposed to pornography while at public school is acceptable. Filters are necessary for schools in order to protect young eyes from seeing images that can have negative after-effects.
